testing is a red herring. the only way for testing to give accurate data is to test every citizen (at least in a representative sample)
they clearly don't have that data, so what are they basing these decisions off of? They aren't telling us

So tell me why the general public needs to be told this and what it does to educate them? Work behind the scenes to fix the issue IF it’s actually an issue.

Yeah, they are actually doing a pretty smart thing in using the inactive cruise ships as hospitals. As someone else mentioned the ships should be used to treat the non-corona patients and the corona patients can be contained in the hospitals.

Nola happens to be the major urban area in our state so when discussing the policies enacted within our state, it matters

Someone I know in Ellick was already whining about flattening the curve because their ICU was stacked. Before a single case even showed up. Seems like healthcare already has its issues here.
We’ve gone from a few to 350 cases in Louisiana within 2 weeks. Mainly because testing is happening. But the death rate isn’t growing. Why are we so worried?

Not just that, looking at the increasing numbers of positive for COVID19 the number of negative tests coming back is maintaining pace. It’s been running 1/3 positive versus 2/3rds negative. This to me is a little more baffling. I was under the impression before being tested for COVID19 you had to be tested for the flu and be negative. So if these 2/3rds of tests are negative then exactly what do those people have if they don’t have the flu or COVID19?
I’ve also noticed they’re not releasing statistics at all anywhere for the number of positives who are simply recuperating at home after being diagnosed. Why aren’t they stressing more the 80% number that I guestimate appears to not need an ICU?

Its a time-honored tradition amongst Louisiana politicians.
as of yesterday they were reporting 80% of our ventilators were available...would be quite the devestating 7 days to overwhelm it
