JBE Lied in Today's Briefing - New Cases in LDH Region 2 are Declining | Data Inside

Governor Edwards shared the following slide in today's briefing as justification for keeping the state closed:
One of those regions "increasing" is LDH Region 2 (Capital).
I decided to look into the data and saw that LDH shares a CSV file of the cumultive cases by parish, by day. I extracted the file, sorted by date, to come up with the new reported cases per day in LDH Region 2. That data is in a Google Drive file.
We had a peak of new cases in Region 2 on April 4th of 362. However it does bounce around as we've discussed here because of delays in reporting tests. That can be seen in the chart here:
As we've done over the last few weeks, smoothing out the tests over a 7 and 14 day average period and you'll notice we have had a steady decline on the 7-day average since April 10th (17 days) and on the 14-day average since April 13th (14 days):
You'll notice in this slide deck released by JBE, that they do share some charts, but none show LDH Region 2 new cases. Just the slide that says "increasing" (with no data citation).
So yes, Governor Edwards straight up lied to each and every one of us today to justify continuing his stay at home order for another 15 days in order to cash in on an additional $150M in Federal Aid.

That will in no way benefit tax paying citizens

I didn’t know being a lying POS was part of the Honor Code.

Golfer, not being sarcastic. You should send the data & your charts to some news outlets.

Crawfish prices will go up and we’re still going to have LSU Football

Can't say I'm surprised but nice to see the backup.
Unfortunately, this decision was made before any of that data was put up as a reason.

Why? So they can ask him the same softball questions he got today?
Chicken needs to resurrect that TD.com media credential he got from 2007 BCS National Championship.

JBE doesn't care.
He's safe and comfy inside his second term with nothing to lose and it's nigh impossible to recall the Governor.
You're just a peasant to him.

Nakamoto/Kiran Chawla. Media seemed less sheep-like today IMO.

No. So people can take your easy to understand breakdown of the data and realize we’re getting fricked.
The more people who understand this, the better.
ETA: everyday the news reports “cases are up to 26,000 in Louisiana” or whatever. It’s framed all wrong. I really think a lot of people don’t understand that things are better than they’ve been in a month numbers wise.

There isn't a news outlet willing to ask JBE a tough question.

Your possible fake chart seems legit.

I've linked everything and my work is shown.

You knew this, though. Since you've been actively posting in the daily update thread. I hope no one else bites on your "gotcha" troll attempt.
