No news outlet in this area will side against jbe. They have a hard-on for him. They are just as much apart of the doom and gloom as he is

So yes, Governor Edwards straight up lied to each and every one of us today to justify continuing his stay at home order for another 15 days in order to cash in on an additional $150M in Federal Aid.

$150M is a drop in the bucket as to what the 15 extra days will cost the people of Louisiana.
There needs to be some use of force in removing these assholes. They won't go quietly or by simply asking. Its going to take some blood being shed to get us back on the right path, as a state and as a nation.

I think that’s what pisses me off the most. JBE and his Department of Health have shared the data but think we’re either too stupid, lazy, or ignorant to look it up. Then to make the claim as he did...it’s insulting to me as a resident of this state, and anyone that’s fighting to keep their job.

He doesn’t care about the intelligent people like us. We don’t vote for his party anyway and we aren’t receiving the kickbacks.

You sir are the liar! As you can clearly tell, we had about five more new cases from the 25th to the 26th. If we continued that pattern for 15 years, the whole state would be dead!

just kidding, but I'm sure his proponents are using that data point to cling to their flimsy belief that he's not an idiot and a political hack

I figured our government had to have some sort of financial incentive to extend this longer.

What is the difference between covid-like illness and cases?

eta: i also like how he used color coding but put plateau in red too. Very slick.

The assumption is that cases have been confirmed while illness is waiting on testing? Which I don’t understand since they’ve now been using tests with fast turnaround times. There shouldnt be any delay.

It’s a direct contradiction to “flatten the curve” being a good thing. Since that exactly what a plateau is.

And it drives me crazy how he keeps reporting the total number of cases rather than focus on new cases.

I knew we were being lied to when he kept referencing total cases and recoveries. Total cases is not relevant and they don't have a clue of total recoveries.

Then they were like "but go enjoy some outdoor dining at restaurants."

They think we are idiots.

Honestly all of the numbers are likely bullshite so i trust the recovery stat just as much as the cases stat and deaths from covid stat.

Remember when the new test data was "N/A" for 4 or 5 days prior to the extension of the stay at home order?
