So basically everything else the government does is handled by committees or task forces, but this is the one thing that can't be handled like that?

Fascinating.

I really don't know what he expected. People to just never get tired of wearing masks and having their lives interrupted? That can only last so long until people just say F it.

Especially since he got caught issuing a temporary bar license so he can have a private party/fund raiser . The level of hubris and hypocrisy is unmatched.

.@LouisianaGov says 3,587 evacuees from Hurricanes Laura and Delta still being sheltered. All but 41 are in hotels #lagov #HurricaneZeta

Well thats your fault nanny state. If these evacuees havent gotten back to their residents and made plans to get it habitable and found a place to stay not on the state budget, then that is their fault and the states fault for letting them stay.

Imagine how much that milkshake is going to cost when McDonald’s has to pay someone $15/hour to make it.

Maybe if he would've worked with the legislature and backed off some of his proclamations, we wouldn't be at this point.

People would maybe be ok with things & more responsive if he was fair & transparent

Did abortion clinics close?
From what I can find they did not, but we have people who will die because they couldn’t go to the Dr.

What about all those people who didn’t get to have funerals / visit their loved ones as they died in nursing homes from dementia or in hospitals from cancer because his Dr’s were saying it wasn’t safe?

What about opening casinos & then only allowing 25% capacity at an outdoor football game?

He is a POS that thinks because his family is the big name in a parish it makes him something, he’s nothing but a bully like his dad & brothers.

He called out Jeff Landry and basically called him a liar...then went on to take other derogatory shots at the Legislature and Jeff Landry....

@LouisianaGov: The proclamation remains in place #lagov #lalege

Only technically, because you're not doing what the law requires Mr. Governor.

LA R.S. 29:768
quote:

RS 29:768 - Termination of declaration of public health emergency

§768. Termination of declaration of public health emergency

A. The state of public health emergency shall continue until the governor finds that the threat of danger has passed or the disaster or emergency has been dealt with to the extent that the emergency conditions no longer exist and terminates the state of public health or emergency by executive order or proclamation, but no state of public health emergency may continue for longer than thirty days unless renewed by the governor.

B. The legislature, in consultation with the public health authority, by a petition signed by a majority of the surviving members of either house, may terminate a state of public health emergency at any time. This petition terminating the public health emergency may establish a period during which no other declaration of public health emergency may be issued. Thereupon, the governor shall issue an executive order or proclamation ending the state of public health or emergency.

I guess he's going to argue they didn't consult with the public health authority?

I’ve been on my parents to sign the recall
They went today & the place was closed
My mom said she would try again but I know my dad won’t

Sign the recall
Even if it’s not enough it’s one more person that he will have to spend the next 3 years knowing didn’t want him there

The bailout that is funded by the same middle class people that own businesses that can't make money. If he would just let everyone back to work, sales tax would probably outweigh the bailout. Crazy town.

Private party (catering)
Pics showed under 50 person limit / most had on masks
No social distancing

Technically it was within the rules but if I wanted to host a small event I would have been told no
