This clown

quote:

He stood on the front steps of Criminal District Court where he expressed that there were no winners or losers in the trial. Williams compared the trial to being pepper-sprayed, similar to what police officers have to endure before carrying mace. "This was my pepper spray," Williams said. "They must experience that feeling of shock, pain, disorientation and fear before they can use it on a private citizen. I have personally felt the pain, fear, isolation and disorientation of an abuse of power." Williams called the trial a sobering experience. "Whether you agree with my politics or policies or not, what I learned is that this could happen to anyone," Williams said. "My role here and my goal here is to make sure justice is served."

quote:

He referenced his law partner, Nicole Burdett, saying she was convicted of crimes she did not commit. "She acted with integrity and refused to lie or embellish the truth," Williams said. "She paid a dear cost for her integrity. I'm confident that she too will be vindicated and this ordeal will finally be over."

Does he still have to pay the taxes that were at the center of the case?

Anyone can get investigated or tried in the court by Federal Govt. for tax fraud/evasion. Not everyone enjoys the same privilege's and capacity to hire Billy Gibbens however.

So a bit of an odd statement from him. It's as if he believes the nation should be run like the city of new orleans where there are no consequences for illegal actions.

So he’s saying what he does is an abuse of power? Or that now that he’s felt the abuse of power he can use it? I’m confused.

So, he's suggesting a malicious prosecution?

I'll be anxious to see his suit on that.

Yes. Dude already owed $274,000 from 2019 for a tax lien that was placed on him in for not paying up and now he has an additional $240,000+ to pay. He was found not guilty strictly because the tax preparer" was a complete buffoon cheat who cheated on his own taxes and everyone else's that he did. He had no credibility and Williams was clever enough to leave no trace of any communication he had with him.

Williams has been avoiding taxes since 2002. That's how far back his issues with the IRS go. Everybody around him (including his ex-wife) was busted, but not him. Gotta love that justice. But now he has a crap load of $$ to pay in back taxes.

This is one of those times where I am reminded that "not guilty" is not the same as "innocent".

From the start, I said that his case was relatively small potatoes for the amount of assets the US attorney / IRS CI invested trying to take him down.

They based the entire case on a pathetic tax cheat (the tax preparer) who was all too willing to do the fed's work for them.

In the end, the feds spent years and could not come up with enough evidence to show intent. And his attorney, Billy, is not cheap.

If he wants to gloat today, I'll allow it.
