I don't think appealing the sentence is helping him. Public sentiment will want him to spend more time behind bars. Good luck on parole, those texts will keep him where he needs to be.

Clear case of Fogle's attorneys trying to get more money out of him. Even his attorneys know the judge is not bound by the prosecutor's recommendation. If the judge wants a harsher sentence, the judge gives a harsher sentence. The appeal will be denied.

Not disagreeing, but did he rape anyone, or was it just young kids through an escort service? I'm not up to date on the details of the case, but if it was consensual, this is the polar opposite of the approach taken with fameless teachers, for instance.

Think about someone in your family at 14 years old, are you OK with them being sold for a night to an adult man?
