Councilman Giarrusso just said on Fox 8 that the loud booms Fox 8 reporters heard in the French Quarter were likely from controlled explosions “out of an abundance of caution” to explode potential IEDs.

People celebrating New Years Eve? Just a guess.
I was here on NYE 2013. I know after the clock struck midnight, it emptied out pretty quickly, but it took me an hour to get a taxi. I was staying in Metairie.
But there are a lot of people in hotels in the FQ that hung around a lot longer than I did.

NOLA will rally big time. We shite on it because it’s so poorly run and has so many criminals, but it’s our jewel. We hate to say it out loud, but it is.
One only needs to go to the West Bank to see the seeds of Jihad. Not saying that all those families are suspect, just saying it’s a numbers thing.Even if this guy is from Texas.

I can’t believe there weren’t more casualties.
The FBI is corrupt AF. The flag bullshite is NOT law enforcement it’s leftist political bullshite. The spokeswoman has cornrows and a nose ring. They spend their time investigating the most patriotic and productive among us. They will do everything they can to minimize and bury this. We won’t let them.
There is a new sheriff coming to town. He has a merciless side with our enemies . We are now likely to see that side.

Anything is possible but how much will it prevent? Then what if there is a crash in the middle of the narrow street and emergency vehicles need to pas in the sidewalk?
I am not against safety devices but we also have to keep it real. There are plenty of other places and events that a person could drive a truck into and kills lots of people.
Some reports say he had an assault rifle. Had he just parked a few blocks away and then snuck up and opened fire he probably would have killed more than 10 people. Or rented a room and shot from a balcony. Or a bomb. Or or or…
Hard to stop evil sadly.

The problem with Islam isn't the 10% that want to kill every infidel, it's that deep down the other 90% are OK with the 10% doing it. They all contribute to "Muslim charities" that ultimately funnel funds back to radical terrorist groups. If you don't believe me, go visit your local "peaceful" Mosque. Sunni Muslim leadership in Saudi (Mecca) and Shia leadership in Iran (Tehran) and Iraq (Qom/Karbala) send out weekly sermons that Mosques around the world use as guidance.

The only reason I would believe this is specifically a rental and purposely an electric truck rental is because the driver would've wanted to go through the crowd quietly vs. going through it hauling arse in a gas truck and bringing slightly more attention to what's going on.
