you not paying attention and reading words that aren't there doesn't make it a conspiracy.
Not true. This was the initial headline at 2:06 PM CT:
quote:
NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Investigators have reviewed video of 3 men and a woman placing explosives in probe of New Orleans attack, document shows.
A few minutes earlier, we heard this in the 1 PM press conference:
quote:
The FBI does not believe that Shamsud-Din Jabbar was “solely responsible” for the attack, said Alethea Duncan, the FBI assistant special agent in charge for New Orleans.

I was kindof laughing at this.
At any time there are 20 scavenger hunts going on in this city. Krewes hiding trinkets or dolls. People putting free drink coupons places. Artists with a following hiding their art for fans to find.
Imagine the FBI dragging you in because the day before you were out goofing off or just having fun.

Terrorism should be limited to a coordinated and planned violent event by multiple people. 9-11 was a terrorist event. This is looking more like a one off person that self jihad without anyone else knowing he was going to do it
terrorism is literally just done to promote terror. you are redefining the term

It's just very strange that the FBI said in the 1 PM press conference yesterday that he had help and then the story comes out about surveillance footage showing 3 men and 1 woman planting the other IEDs and then all of sudden none of that happened?
Yeah something is up here. Do you really think you can leave an ice chest unattended all day in the quarter and not have a bum or anyone look inside? This is the part that has me scratching my head more and more.

the literal definition of a sleazy fake politician was too busy cracking jokes about NBC in the press conference.
He had a flight jacket with his name on it like he was a fricking F-16 pilot
At least when Kip Holden dressed up, you knew he was just having fun.

but I don’t have a family member that died there.
If I did i wouldn't be holding Sidney in any ill regard for doing his job.

And if it stops him with a car, it won't stop him from using other means. How much "common sense" stuff do we need to do to pretend we are safe in public from crazy people like this?
It does stop what just happened though, so I’m not sure why you’re arguing. I’m as anti big government as it gets.
I worked for DSS and I’m simply saying this is one thing that’s easy to do and is just one risk migration tactic. You can never eliminate all risk, I agree. However, this particular hardening doesn’t require you to give up any freedoms. No one is suggesting metal detectors or pat downs.

On that one street, maybe. Then it would have just happened on any of the other crowded streets. So again ask how far you expanded installation of this common sense logical solution

You sound like a gun grabber with this.
I don't see how.
Putting up pillars on sidewalks has nothing to do with the 2nd Amendment, I feel confident in that assessment.

Again, a leaked document. The FBI did not announce this to the public for fear of jumping the gun. Be mad at click starved media outlets and your inability to decipher between official communication and leaked information.
I'll help you, this is an official communication:

The FBI does not believe that Shamsud-Din Jabbar was “solely responsible” for the attack, said Alethea Duncan, the FBI assistant special agent in charge for New Orleans.

It's called Monday Morning QB'ing.
Every terrorist plot reveals a hole that is suddenly obvious and doesn't exist elsewhere in the world.
Because some whack job almost lit his shoes on fire 15 years ago you have to take your shoes off at TSA unless you pay a little extra money to the government. to

That’s the street it happened on…. You can talk in hypotheticals all day long. You don’t look at this event or any event and say frick it lets not learn from our mistakes

I could go kill 15 people right now easily all over this city if I were so inclined. Just because that is the "most densely packed" does not mean there aren't huge crowds elsewhere.

I don't see how you can make the leap of "put up bollards on sidewalks" to gun control.
I believe the term "common sense" is used fairly widely.
If it helps the argument, I can use other terminology.

All throughout the FQ at least, you have a ton of people congregating in narrow streets there, usually inebriated.
There need to be bollards, both for prevention of something like this, as well as for drunk drivers, etc
