Waking up 9 years later, realizing he said he would call, and didn't is not enough for a suit, or charges.
It is past the Statute of limitations, but she is filing suit under a gimmick law that expires today.

a vv close member of my family was the victim of a rape, and so I tend to have a biased opinion on rape charges and accusations, but c'mon... 9 years later is a little much. I find these situations to be bs.
and you never hear of poor ole baw living in a trailer being sued 9+ years later for rape... it's always the guys with deep pockets to pad some hoebawbette's lifestyle.
pisses me off for the true rape victims- this and victim shaming is why so many rape victims don't come forward or press charges.
