Yes, there are crazy people that could give a frick about death, but till we stop pussing around with ALL killers, shooting are going to happen. That is why I said walk his arse right out to the nearest tree. Hell, everybody in that courtroom knew he was guilty. Screw appeals if everybody knows for a fact and put the POS down.

You said it yourself: the guy is insane. He doesn't give a shite about living, he wants glory, and he got it. He wanted to be known as a real life Joker, and that's what the media has portrayed him as. He won, and the lack of the death penalty is insulting to the family, not a deterrent to psychopaths shoot up public place
Seriously, think about all the mass shooters:
Columbine Shooters: Dead
Sandy Hook Shooter: Dead
V Tech Shooter: Dead
Lafayette Shooter: Dead
Nashville Shooter: Dead
Chattanooga Shooter: Dead
Luby's Shooter: Dead
McDonald's Massacre: Dead
Binghamton Shooter: Dead
Charleston Shooter: Alive
The death penalty does not remotely stop these incidents. In fact, if I were to go through with one of these massacres, I'd rather be killed cleanly by a cop than to get raped to death in a federal prison, which if they get their hands on either him or the SC shooter, they will certainly do.
The way we stop this is once the guy is caught or killed is don't report his name or face. Make them know that they will be forgotten, and that will stop psychopaths from shooting up schools, theaters, and restaurants. The thing they want is to always be remembered and achieve glory. If we stop giving it to them, then these massacres will largely stop. The death penalty doesn't do shite in these situations.

In open/shut incidents like this, an expedited trial should take place with the only guilty sentence possible being death.

As far as the doctors go, I think they got it right. Ruled him mentally insane, but legally sane to sit trial.
