Jackson officials and JPD are gearing up for their yearly tax season money grab

Ticketing individuals for remote starting their vehicle and warming it up. While it might be a law on the books, it's an archaic one. I understand when it was the 90's and cars actually had keys. But with remote start, the chances of your vehicle being stolen while warming it up is pretty much non existent.

Every year Jackson pulls some bull shite like this so that the courts will be full when people start receiving income taxes. 3 years ago, A single officer wrote a 1/4 mile line of cars parking tickets outside of a popular Jackson night club. I've been to that club and parked on the shoulder completely off the road along with others for years. Then one February, on a night with a special guest that attracted a large crowd(Lil Boosie), over 300 parking tickets were issued. . I know 99% just paid the fine. I took pictures of the establishment, where I parked, and the absence of no parking signs and had the case dismissed
