No getting around it. Got the call today that Grandma, who has been in the hospital for a few days, isn’t looking good. She was tested for Covid-19, but it was negative. She does have pneumonia and they’re not expecting her to have much time.

Anyway, safe to fly into Baton Rouge right now?

ETA: If anyone was interested, Grandma is doing much better. We honestly weren’t expecting her to come through at all but it’s looking much better than 2 days ago. Not out of the woods yet. Flight is still booked. Should I go ahead and go?

You'll be the only one on the plane. Make sure to be extra friendly to the stewardesses.

You may catch the Covid while here, but you're safe to land, baw.

COVID-19 would be the least scary virus you could catch at that airport.

Are you coming in to “see” you grandma?

Your probably aware but it’s worth stating that most hospitals aren’t allowing visitors

Yea, I know. I’m more so coming down to be with my dad for when/if it happens. He’s been through a lot lately.

Family has asked but it’s unlikely with all this going on.

Safe to come to BR...practice social distancing of course. Will they even let you in to see her?

BR doesn't have a lot of Rona yet compared to New Orleans.

Doubtful but my dad’s brother was diagnosed with cancer recently and is battling that and he’s taken it hard. I’d like to be with him for worst case scenario

I would be surprised if BR is much higher per capita than wherever you were coming from.

Once you land, keep your head on a swivel right before going down the escalators to baggage

There are a lot of AIDS cases in BR. Be careful. Also, please enjoy our tap water.

Glad to hear it. Sounds like the doctors gave you the worst case scenario and caused your whole family to panic unduly. Kind of a microcosm of the whole country right now.
