She probably has anxiety about the well-being of her husband and loved ones. It sounds like someone is just crazy, but it's just the anxiety taking over. Often it can be associated with OCD, which explains her need to use Find my iPhone or call someone.
That's one explanation, but she could be paranoid or suspicious of him, and this not be related to worry about the well-being of loved ones.

It's one of two things. She's been cheated on by him or someone in the past and doesn't know how to deal with that/has become a control freak. Or she's fricking around on him and projecting.

I worked with a guy whose wife did this. She would call about every 20 minutes asking when we would be through. I gave him a ride home one day when his car broke down. She called 2 times on the way home to find our location.
If he went through a drive-thru with her and the window girl would smile or say "My pleasure", She would lose her mind and they were no longer allowed to go back there. He was unable to go to any convenience store, fast food place, or grocery store within 3 miles of home.
She told him one day that the landlord had flashed her. He said "let's move. She said that she felt safe when he worked away and wanted to stay put. He came home after a week in NC and found her and the landlord with big matching herpes on their lips.
Divorced now, and in jail.
