Six republicans voted for rejection. Two democrats voted for approval.
And no prior SCOTUS appointee was treated anything like Bork was. What Kennedy did on the floor was abhorrent.

And that is certainly a valid criticism. But the issue is not that he was rejected. It's how he was treated, and the justifications used for his rejection.
Like Wolf posted, there's a reason why there is a dictionary definition for the term "borked."
