Same, USAA, decrease of about $600 per year for two years in a row. I put the money aside last year in anticipation of a rate increase this year.

99 downvotes is a record for me.

Usually, those types of posts get upvotes in the "hate on young people" threads.

Stop being soft. That is the problem with people these days, always expecting to have things handed to them.

Stop being a prideful, arrogant, self-righteous prick.

You sound like an old loser. It’s hilarious that older generations act like younger generations are terrible when most of the country’s current problems began with the Silent Generation and the Baby Boomer Generation. Baby Boomers are notorious for doing less with more. They had tons handed to them in a post-World War II world and still screwed it all up. The decline of the family started with Baby Boomers when divorce became common-place. All the other problems followed that.

I would also like to add that the only clients who treat me like shite at work and yell and scream about stuff are Boomers. The younger clients don’t act like that.

The dollar had three times the buying power then.

I’m sure if you tripled the OP’s salary overnight while he stayed in the same tax bracket, he wouldn’t be making this thread.

Get your head out of your arse.

2023 Tax Bill 791
2024 Tax Bill 998

26% increase. Lafayette Parish Tax Assessor had sent out PR push a couple months back to expect 6-10% increase. frick those slimy cocksuckers.

My 3.003 acre lot also in Lafayette Parish, valued at $90k, has a property tax bill of $8.85. Makes zero fricking sense.

At least I get to pay for the insurance month to month. Having to write a 6-$8k check at Christmas time for property taxes sucks to no end.

Property taxes where I live have been increasing about $700 a year due to the explosion of schools and roads. The shock for myself and everyone that I knew was our homeowners’s insurance basically doubling I shopped around and find a carrier that was 250.00 cheaper. I hoping with the Trump Administration coming in that something can be done to limit or cap an insurance company and the increases they can make in a certain timeframe.

My mortgage is zero because our house is paid off. Property tax still about 3500 a year. Insurance about 2400 a year nothing has gone up at any noticeable amount
