Thanks for the reminder, will download a couple of episodes to listen to while mowing this morning.

And don't drive like my brother.

I enjoyed the hell out of that show. I have a question though, will they go back and reclassify Tom's death as Covid?

Podcast if you really miss it that badly. LINK

I thought about the same thing just last week. That show lasted a lot of years, but when one of the brothers died, they shut the show down quickly.

I got a new phone 5 or 6 years ago and looked for podcasts that I’d enjoy. I subscribed to theirs because I like car shows and it was a great listen. But I couldn’t figure out why everyone called in to ask about 30+ year old cars. I did some research and saw the sad story.

When I toured Harvard, I made sure to point out the Dewey, Cheatem & Howe sign in the window of their office.

Those are the cars that frequently break?

I'll never forget the call from the very southern woman in South Carolina who was going to buy her daughter a top of the line Volvo convertible as her first car...

Has NPR quit broadcasting the show. They’ve been playing reruns ever since one of the guys died.

Thanks for the link. Just listened to the first 5 minutes of the 'Dregs Theory' episode. Those guys were incredibly quick-witted. And excellent mechanics.

It used to be pretty good, before 2016. You didn't have to have to hear about Ramsey's Jewelers, Trey Yuen, or New Orleans "traffic" constantly.

I've given NPR a try twice this year. The first time they were talking about the KKK, and really sounding scared and earnest about it, so I ditched.

The second time, they were talking to some chick and though I disagreed with her I kept listening because it was semi-interesting. At the end of the segment they thanked her and said she was so-and-so from Snopes.com.

I was floored. I was thinking she was some far-left fringe candidate or something.

Right? Politics were a huge issue on car talk

My favorite segment was when a woman called and said she confirmed two egg sacs of black widow spiders hatched inside her car.

She lived out West, maybe Arizona.

The solution they came up with was brilliant. Have the car towed to a Mountain town in Colorado and leave it for 3 weeks. The cold will kill the spiders.

You may be able to download old shows via podcast and listen to them. I agree though great show and sad loss. If you haven’t heard Wait Wait Dont Tell Me you should give that a listen too

Sorry, but I think that show is pretty awful. Whad'Ya Know? was a LOT better.

"Why do Fiats have rear window defrosters? So you can keep your hands warm while you push them."

Tom and Ray had a great show.
