It's a damn wonder how 10 million people live in Chicagoland what with the constant gunfire and seasonal weather.

That's just wind chill. It ain't that bad.

Bonus thought:
I was born in Waukegan at St. Theresa's hospital. Back in the day.

You do know that both Baton Rouge and New Orleans crush Chicago in murder rate, yes?

I was there on the north shore when it was -75 wind chill.

My wife worked until 10 PM. I had to go to her place of work and walk her home.
As we walked in the -75, I told her we were never doing that again and to get a job she could park her car at and drive home.

another time, new woman, standing with me at the evanston train to catch the EL back to North shore of Chicago.

Its -3 with a who knows wind chill and the snow is VERY HEAVY.

She says "this is not supposed to be happening. its not supposed to snow like this when its below zero."

I explained, when the wind is off the lake and the lake is not frozen yet, the moisture from the lake "gives us" snow like you are experiencing.

these Louisiana folks talking like Chicago is some shithole and BR/NOLA are utopias.

I’m from Louisiana and currently live in chi and one clearly trumps the other (chi) as far as quality of life is concerned. I’ll always love LA tho.

This weather is actually nice today y’all should’ve been here two days ago.
