You sir will not rain on my parade!

I'll be less than 20 minutes from Table Rock Lake, just over an hour from the White River in AR for fishing and so close to the Buffalo River I can throw my kayak into the back of my truck after work and still have time to get a float in.

Missouri does have its problems but they are a far cry from the problems in Louisiana especially if you live any where near a large city. I like seeing where my tax dollars are spent and I like driving down a road and not seeing trash piled on the sides. I also like being able to drive without having to get my vehicles realigned every other month. I drove on a rock bar on the Buffalo River that is smoother than a lot of roads in Louisiana.

I love this state, it has a lot of unique things about it, my family is here and most of the people are good people, BUT its not worth putting up with how bad everything is especially how awful our State and Local Governments are and those will unfortunately never change.

I'm happy to be moving on to better things.

Oh yeah. He’s definitely moving to the country of progress and great economies. They definitely have way more programs, hence why so many people are moving there

People think Louisiana is so great, and don’t get me wrong, it is UNIQUE. And certainly special. But when it comes to living a good life, unique does not equate to great. And you WILL NOT understand this until you get so fed up that you finally leave. Or get a glimpse into a better life. That’s when you realize how NICE everyday life can be. Less crap schools, better paying jobs, better roads, better infrastructure, more educated people, less crime, just overall so much NICER way of life, where you can actually see where your tax dollars are going, new business, beautiful scenery, ect. Good food (which, with globalization, there’s good food everywhere now) and culture are simply NOT good enough reasons to stay in a dying state any longer. The education alone in Louisiana is enough reason to leave, if not the crime, if not the crap pay. There is a better life out there. And people need to seize it if for NO other reason than to force Louisiana to finally get its act together….which probably won’t happen bc #louisiana
lOuIsIaNiAnS leaving in droves and bringing the same mindset and policies that made Louisiana shitty!!

STAY IN YOUR OWN SHITTY HOLE YOU DUG AND DONT BRING THAT DISFUNCTION HERE!!

"Lol so naive"

If driving on good roads is naive then so be it. The difference in roads is so large it's f'ing insane. If that's the ONLY thing I get better from my tax dollars I'll take it.

I hear that’s a very nice area. Congrats and enjoy the change of seasons. I’ve been out of La for 7 yrs now, no regrets.

What took you so long?

I did the opposite. Left early in life and realized what life was supposed to be about and how Louisiana shines bright in that space; returned like a moth to light.

Good luck to you.

Yeah you’re extremely naive if you’re basing your decision on fricking roads

I envy you. Good luck. I can’t wait to retire so I can get the hell out of Louisiana. Nearly any other state is an improvement.

I mean does your profession not have any other jobs anywhere? I can’t image being so miserable as some of you say. Move for fricks sake

Good for you for actually doing instead of just complaining about it on TD, but the constant Louisiana bashing/upvote fishing is tired as frick

I think there needs to be an official ruling on that OP….. many could argue Shreveport isn’t even part of Louisiana. Maybe some subject editing needs to happen
