AP/LP/River Parishes wedding playlist:
Brown Eyed Girl
Boogy Shoes
If You Don't Want Me To (The Freeze)
Strokin'
Harlem Shuffle
Footloose
Matlida
Cha Cha Slide
Electric Slide
Cupid Shuffle
You Don't Have to Call Me Darlin' (The Perfect Country and Western Song)

With the right band and assuming the bar is open I would have a blast. That probably says a lot about me. I don't care.

It means that you're not from a poor or middle class family in AP, LP, or the River Parishes

Haven't read the thread, so this has probably been covered, but as long as they don't play the chicken dance, they can play the freeze all night long.

That's my cue to head back to the bar and possibly the restroom.

I had to google the freeze. If it's the song by Ronnie Milsap, I've never heard it at a wedding. Or on the radio either.

It's totally underground, bro. It's not mainstream enough for the radio...that or it hasn't been on the radio since the 80s because it's a lame old country song.

The Freeze is like 10 years older than Red Red Wine

I completely forgot there was a specific song. I just think of it as the name of the line dance. And people in other parts of the country do it, too, but the name changes depending where you're from.

The Freeze will not be played at our wedding. It's about a one night stand. The irony in watching drunken idiots dance to it is priceless.

No it isn't.
"Red Red Wine" is a song written and originally recorded by American artist Neil Diamond. Diamond's version reached number sixty-two on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1968

You're thinking of UB40 remake. I'm talking the orig.

I somehow doubt the Freeze is that old.
