You know what? If they're gonna run a TKO vs WWE angle a la what it was like with the corporation? Could completely redraw roster alliances and blur the lines between Smackdown, Raw, and some NXT, TNA, and AAA stars.
Could pay off with a few matches at Mania next year including Rock/Roman.

Now they are selling Randy's injury and "idk when we will see him again". Maybe they are trying to write him off for awhile with that injury and trying to leave it where Randy can come back as a face.

My initial hunch is that they wanted to protect Cody so he won. The punt is to get him off screen for awhile. I would not be shocked if some "rumors" start hitting twitter mid week before Smackdown.

In the last two years since the big conclusion of 40 we’ve had Travis Scott, Pat, and fricking Jelly roll. They’re so obsessed with saudi, astronomical ticket gates and telling the world how fake it is 10 mins after going off air they’ve forgotten how to tell a half decent story.
