Need to go back to the general store model where there are display items out and the stock is in the back, and you tell the clerk what you need and they bring it out for you.

Burt, I hear you brotha. I’m gonna take a stab at this. You’re an older gentleman revealing what’s been encouraged for decades by policy of people who should know better. It’s by design and you’re sick of it.

Very true, they loot you pay for it. It’s like an earlier poster said, don’t shop there.

Avoid those stores.

It may not be easy, but it's simple as hell and effective en mass. It's also literally your only means of impact - moaning and bitching, writing your congressman, even voting won't do shite.

Here's the problem. The more acceptable criminal behavior becomes and the more it is ignored, the more it will spread. Eventually you won't be able to avoid it.

What do you want the casual observer in that store do? Attempt to stop them? WHy? So the perps can beat the good samaritan half to death? So the "woke" store can sue or fire the observer for daring to do what's right?

To hell with stores that allow this. I hope they all go bankrupt.

They do this to pretty much all retailers.

I doubt they do it to the work clothes section of Tractor Supply but outside of that all stores have to deal with this

The fact that nobody has the balls or conviction to stop these frickers is as sad as them stealing……. Look at those faces

Zero fricks given.
Almost daring somebody to do or say so thing to them about their criminal fricking actions.

I couldn’t wouldn’t just stand there and watch…. But I’m not a pussy so there's that.

I was coming to post this same thing. Puts more people at work in the store and limits the exposure. Other option is to just ditch the brick and mortar and do all your business online.

Another option is to go with Bricktop’s lockdown system.

I don’t think that’s what he’s saying, Bug. He’s acknowledging that it’s becoming commonplace for this and it feeds into itself.

or just go 100% curbside.

i think that's the more likely option. that way you've got local stores and not everything has to be shipped. they just won't have doors for the public. you order online via an app. pick out of pick time/date/location and they bring it out to your car in the parking lot that's heavily monitored.

it sucks. but something like that is coming, because we can't have honest conversations.
