It's already snowing... Advice?

Today marks the first snow of the season where I live. I moved to an area that receives on average 73" a year of snow. Any advice on how to contain myself?? I've been around it a lot but never actually lived in it.

I've skied at Big Mountain...beautiful area. I am surprised you ONLY get 73"...Try and relax...it will be with you for the next 5+ months.
Pro tip...get some high quality boots, socks, and gloves...but especially boots and socks.
Also, when walking around on slick surfaces, keep your hands out of your pockets.

I am going to go out on a limb and say you have not come to the right place..
Unless you're expecting snow floods.

I'm somewhat prepared clothing wise... I walk to work (under a mile one way) so I've racked up on darn tough, ice breaker, bogs and sorels. I need base layers which I don't have atm.

At least it's a dry cold, -30 feels more like zero around here...oh wait, here in Louisiana it doesn't get down to zero.
Way up there, better get ya about 2 months of groceries stocked up, 2 months firewood chopped in case of power outage (no worries about the groceries without power, cold enough to set those outside to keep refrigerated/frozen).
Oh, 2 words should enter your clothing style lexicon: wool and down.

Advice? Enjoy it. Had a bunch of snow in the mountains up here last night. I love when the peaks are white
