I’m not reading your bullshite list, but when people literally risk their lives to try to sneak into your country, even knowing they may be jailed and deported because that is a better option than where they currently live, I think we are pretty damn free. Not that I disagree with the rest of what you’re saying, but you only qualify for Medicaid if you make below a certain amount, and that amount is very low. Paying for insurance out of pocket is unrealistic for someone who doesn’t make a high salary, and a hospital visit can result in a bill that’s 5 figures very easily.
Inability to pay that bill ruins your credit and follows you around for years, making life quite difficult financially.
A lot of people are in debt that can be totally traced back to a medical emergency, and that’s really unfortunate.
