When i was single, i absolutely loved the Dollar Tree and 99 Cents Only stores because every year when the holidays rolled around, they made life much easier for me.. i hate wrapping Christmas presents, so i’d go to these stores in early December and stock up on gift bags for Christmas, they have sizes from small bags for jewelry or whatever, all the way up to bags the size of a coffee table- gift bags that would cost $5 or $10 each at Target or the mall- all for a dollar, of course.. but you have to go in early Dec or they run out.. i’d Maybe spend $15 or $20, and save myself the time and frustration of wrapping presents every year.

If you’re having a party the serving dishes at the Dollar Tree are perfect
Bowls & platters of all sizes for 1.00 & they go in the trash afterwards

I buy a lot of bleach from the DG. 1$ for a 3 qt. Jug. I use it to wash boats,my ice chest( cooler for Yankees ), buckets, etc. I wash my garbage cans with it also. Street, shop and outside cans.

The rectangular sanding sponges. I usually have a dozen or so on hand for woodworking projects. I go through probably 20+ a year. They are $5 each at HD or Lowes.

Foamboards, posterboards and cardboard folding display boards for the kid's school projects.

I have never been in one before. Aren't they the stores that get robbed all the time?

Balloons for bday etc. Pencils, pens and sponges for the dishes. That's about it.
