Yellow onions. Still can get 3lbs for $2 if you catch a sale.

House painters. Hired a self employed guy in the Spring at $25/hr for about 3 days of work. Different guy same situation was $20/hr in 2019.

My 16 year old high school daughter went homecoming dress shopping with some friends last weekend and bought a dress...cost was $110.

I feel like girls were spending $115 on homecoming dresses in the 90's.

Apparently, homecoming dresses in St Tammany are more expensive then prom dresses.

If no tip is involved, is it really a blowjob?

I bought a Honda 500 for $6500 last year. Dad's Honda 300 was $5000 in 1994

I paint houses on my days off from offshore. Offshore pays for the truck, but this inflation has me scrambling to afford the nuts.

damn, I was going to call bs but:

quote:

When the Honda FourTrax 300 (TRX300/TRX300FW) and the sport-focused TRX300EX were sold in 1994, the original MSRPs were roughly between $3,999 and $4,999.

and this little titbit:
quote:

$5,000 in 1994 is equivalent in purchasing power to about $11,306.44 today,

Canned tomatoes, canned green beans, and canned corn have all gone up in my area in the last 5 years. While also reducing what is in the cans (shrinkflation).

You can easily spend more than $15k on one these days for the premium models.

Thats probably a better way to look at it. A 4x4 300 Fortrax was the premium model in 1994. A 500 foreman 4x4 base model is certainly not the premium model in 2026, although they are very similar machines.

So thanks to all the bro cruiser SxS buyers who are keeping the regular ATV prices down for the rest of us.
