Minimal amount of foundation correction and maybe some lip gloss is all most women need to look great for the vast majority of men.
Which supports the point that others have made. The overkill beauty standards are made by women, enforced by women, so that women can compete with other women for…reasons?

Too many women would prefer to be considered attractive by other women rather than men. Most of those probably were never told at a young age that they were beautiful from their father. "I see you. You are beautiful" so they turned to their friends, boyfriends and social media for validations when they were younger and as they age, do the same thing.
If most women are told they is ugly by 10 woman and attractive by one man, she'll believe the women.
If most women are told she is attractive by 10 men and unattractive by one woman, she'l believe the woman.

I'm with you, but I still know far too many guys in person that don't mind if they are decently done and have seen many on here say the same over the years. That's why I said generally.
