Did they end up finding ANYTHING to closely justify their tactics?

That's why I hate no knock warrants. I piss somebody off by firing them, they call APSO and tell them I'm cooking meth in my house, some bad decisions by the government leads to them serving a no-knock at my house, I shoot a man breaking into my house (legal) and I get shot for shooting a cop. Because somebody got pissed off and tries to get me in trouble.
It's a horrible thing to do without 100% proof that theres is a severe danger that needs to be dealt with Fallujah style. Doing this shite for drug tip offs is asinine

Is there not some type of negotiation that can be made in these situations?
Could the police not call this house or the lady and say, “look, we think you’re hoarding drugs in here. If you just come out peacefully we will be able to work with you on these potential charges depending on what we find.”
Then have strict laws that lessen the criminal charges that these people face if they surrender peacefully.
No knock raids cause the really bad guys to feel desperate. Might as well go to war with these police officers if the alternative is spending a large portion of your life in prison. And it would help the innocent people who get blasted to shite in these things.

What is the policy and goals in these things?
To make sure, whatever the cost, to secure evidence against the people in the home?
I’d understand and even be ok with that if they had concrete evidence of some bad mfers operating a massive operation. Even then, I think it still might be worth it to make contact with them and work on a deal if they were willing to surrender peacefully.
But to do these things to ONE person who MIGHT have drugs? What the hell was their goal here?

To justify appropriating tax dollars to purchase military surplus items.
It says rescue. That's how you know it's for your own safety.

Didn't the police chief come out after this and scold the public for questioning what happened?
The head of the police union said this:
quote:
We are sick and tired of having targets on our back,” he says. “We are sick and tired of having dirtbags trying to take our lives when all we’re trying to do is protect this community and protect our families. Enough is enough… If you’re the ones that are out there spreading the rhetoric that police officers are the enemy, just know we’ve all got your number now, we’re going to be keeping track of all of y’all, and we’re going to make sure that we hold you accountable every time you stir the pot on our police officers.”

No knock warrants seem so fricked up
They seem that way because they are.
I understand the logic behind them. I just think the tactic should only be deployed when you're dealing with the top-tier, uber kingpin criminals and such. Not the neighborhood weed man.
Also, the intelligence had better be fricking rock solid before the "OK" is given. Because if it's not, shite like this happens. Cops shoot the wrong people and/or your average Joe is now fighting for his life in court because he shot a cop who broke his door down dressed in all black with his buddies.
