The stagger is off.
Architectural shingles shouldn't look like that.
Should have a pattern.

Ppl with 8’ ceilings shouldn’t post here. The OT is for 10’ and above. That’s called riff raff problems and we don’t have time for that.

Could have been the plywood lifting up, a nail, debris, or starter course, or sections of drip edge that was bent.
A lot of roofers only like to put drip edge on the rakes...because of similar issues/ reasons. I like it though...on reroof jobs, you see a lot plywood issues at the fascia...cut short, rot, etc.
A nice shingle over hang and keeping gutters clean is most important.
Regardless, it appears they came back and addressed the issue.
Yes, summer heat does allow a new roof to settle and late flat ...
Perhaps over the phone the roofing company thought you were describing a typical situation that would lay down over time in the summer heat. This looks like an issue that needed attention.
Should be good now.

The whole sheet of plywood looks bad. Seems to be a bow in the middle of the two shingles in question.
50.00 fix screwing up a 5k-6k roof.

How tall are you that you need 10' ceilings?

Only a matter of time where winds hit that area lift it up further causing debris to get inside and trapped. Something is wrong with the layout of shingles. The first two rows should not be like that but overall something looks off to me.

that roof is completely done wrong and nothing lines up, not shocked you have issues.
that said, yes in the heat of summer it will soften and lay down flat.
that wont fix the misalignment of the shingles which, may or may not cause problems with water penetration.
this is what happens when you hire a crew of illegals from home depot who dont know how to do the job right.
its hard to lay shingles wrong, you just have to line up the edges and keep the lines straight, but they sure as hell didnt do that, not even close

That is one shitty looking roofing job. The pool of messicans at your local home improvement box store that day must have been extremely shallow.
