This is pathetically weak. If they don't 'at least decrease?'. So it's ok to shoot missles at US troops, just not this many.

yeah, that was a weak thing to include in the statement.

The only other diversity hire in the administration that is worse than Austin is the WH Press Secretary. He is an embarrassment to the military.

Israel's internal security agency announced that they will eliminate all participants of the October 7 massacre.
The "photojournalists" who took part in recording the assault will be added to that list.

Can you say "Operation Wrath of God"?
If anything, the Israelis don't fear world opinion. If they feel they've been done wrong, they will hunt you and kill you.
They occasionally frick up - ask the dead waiter in Lillehamme - but they don't let that slow them down. When they decide enough is enough, look out.

If(and I mean if, hypthetically) they truly are innocent journalists not linked to Hamas, it would behoove them to turn themselves into the first IDF or Israeli official they can find to explain what happened.
Everything that's come out of the last few days has been a terrible look for them. Staying silent and hiding does nothing but show the suspicions to be correct.

#Iran's "Islamic Resistance" launched a drone attack targeting U.S. troops in al-Tanf in SE #Syria earlier today.
That makes 6 attacks in #Syria & #Iraq since the 2nd round of U.S. airstrikes 36hrs ago.

Some here probably know better but is the IDF just not as well trained as most western militaries? Genuinely curious.

I’m on the side that thinks the foreign country should fight their war as they see fit without us trying to sabotage it when said country is our ally. Israel should carry out their war effort without our bs PR stunt to pander to domestic leftist crazies.
yeah that is definitely the pro-israeli spin, however i'm pro american and don't believe in letting a foreign country that we are supplying, recklessly drag us into a war.
just because you are getting cash and weapons from the US doesn't mean that you have free range to do whatever you want. international law must be followed which means sufficient humanitarian aid must be allowed in. that's not a 'pr stunt' as you put it...that is the rule.
having a pause to allow more aid in for gazans is also another reason for iran/hezbollah and others not to get involved. if the israelis had their way, the entire gaza strip would be razed and its population pushed into the sinai, which of course everyone in this thread excluding myself would be hooting and hollering with glee for. that obviously, would have lead to iran getting involved and possibly egypt, turkey, etc and now we are on the cusp of WW3.
so no, letting israel and their far right extremist government do as they please is not an option and i'm glad that the good ol USA agrees with my assessment.

Indeed.

What do y’all think this war should be called?
The Last Battle for Gaza
The Last Palestinian War
Also, any updates on any of the hostages?

There have been rumors this morning of a hostage swap between Israel and Hamas. Those rumors were shot down by the Israeli government. It would have included the release of 100 people held hostage by Hamas.

Even if it takes them years to find you.
Just to frick with them and their families, Mossad would put their target’s obituary in the papers before they were killed, or send flowers and a card to the families of their target beforehand.

Please cite the international law Hamas followed when they massacred Israelis.
