Isn't 5 day a week face-to-face school safer than hybrid 2 day a week school?

People need childcare the other 3 days a week. A lot of these kids will just go to daycares and be around other kids from other schools who are also hybrid.
5 day a week would be safer since it allows kids to stay within their class bubble all week.
I'm not sure why teachers think they're more special than other essential workers.

I assume they’re firing half of the teachers for the hybrid system?

Does government make any sensible decisions ? NEARLY EVERYTHING they touch is destroyed or damaged beyond repair. Don't expect this 2020 crop of idiots to do anything that makes any sense.

My situation:
Youngest two children are going 5 days a week.
Oldest is in middle school and going every other day.

Safer for the teachers. They will not be teaching while classes are held on site. Just fighting with the kids to have their masks on. Checking to see that hands are clean. Worrying about social distancing and making sure everyone is exactly 6 feet apart

I'm assuming teachers have stayed inside their homes this entire time and haven't been to Lowes, Home Depot, the grocery store, or any restaurant. I mean, those germs might get them there as well.

It's actually way more work than people think. I've spent the last month preparing for the hybrid system and I may be done before we start.

Group A Monday and Wednesday, Group B Tuesday and Thursday, planning on Friday.
Labor Day is going to screw my lesson plans up.

i'm on the teacher's side here.I know the teachers we have in our district are very good and care about their jobs and the children.
It's important down here to have strong schools and our district is doing a fine job.Without a good school system a city dies. These people are important and have my support.
Good luck davis, and keep up the good work.
