1)For the drinks handed out by flight attendant on the plane, are they individually scanned prior to boarding?
2)For the drinks purchased by passengers post TSA screening, are those scanned prior to entering security?
I just find it hard to believe each drink is xrayed. I could be wrong.

I would assume that they X-ray the drinks when they come in on a pallet.

They have already speculated that they believe this was part of an inside job meaning someone working at the airport security allowed this to pass by intentionally.

Are you serious, Clark? A dude flew with a LOADED GUN recently without the TSA catching on. They also, repeatedly, fail to find the fake weapons in testing. TSA managers, due to terrible performance, have started telling the agents what they should be looking for on the days of these tests.

I flew on several flights within Egypt in 2009. Security for those flights was nonexistent. For one of the flights our guide bought tickets for the group, no id needed to buy the ticket or board the flight, no scanning anything.

yep crazy but when think about if the soda was close the side of the plane.. The hole it would make and how high the plane was.. The hole would start slowly ripping the plane apart.

Yes, Items served on a plane and in the airport are screened in the USA. I have first hand knowledge of the facility at Austin Bergstrom Airport. The airlines and airport contract out to a vendor located at the airport. (lsg sky chefs is a big one)
The lsg sky chef facility is secure and employees and contractors have to go thru security to enter and deliveries also go thru security.
I assume its the same at other US airports. In Austin, LSG Sky Chefs provides the items for all the airlines that serve the airport, so it all goes thru one checkpoint.
I guess someone on the inside could make it happen, but it wouldn't be easy. There are probably more vulnerable points in an airport to try to get thru if your in the US. Now foreign airports are probably a lot different and easier for an inside job person to do it.
