ISIS claims can of soda brought down Russian airliner

Serious question, does every can of soda get scanned going onto a plane? Even the ones the flight attendants hand out? I realize the ones brought by passengers do.
Eta- the cans brought through security wouldn't make it on the plane anyway...
But ones purchased past security would, and may or may not be individually scanned.

You give the TSA too much credit.
Regardless, you're about 2000x more likely to die in a car crash. I say let's crack down on the frickers texting and driving first before we worry about a soda can bomb.
