Wait til your wife wants fake titis and a convertible Mustang. Then runs off with the Travel Ball coach. That 15k is gonna be peanuts

Yeah guys that end up in the majors usually were between .450 to .500 in high school

Awesome. Report back when the time comes and let us know where he will be playing in college.

The funny thing is, I know this is a troll. Some of us have spent upwards of $85k, bi-annually, for you to come in here and make a mockery of it. If you think $15k is even going to make a difference, then you’re just not getting it. You and Braxxtyn can enjoy the memories.

kid is a talented kid and the attention is a natural result
The above statement is a tough thing for people to accept.
I spend about $30k per year on two kids playing a niche sport with no pro end result who aren’t even in the recruiting window. I’m happy to pay it to have great memories with my kids while they work towards a goal. We’ll do something else if/once the window closes.
Some kids want AND have IT. Money is the least important aspect.

Well at 14 you can’t know much. You’re getting fleeced if you’re paying that much at 14 anyway. Go talk to an actual college coach before you pretend every kid has a shot lol. ..

A scout from Southern Miss? And you believed him?
Exactly what I was thinking. Your son is 14.

What did yall do to get noticed back in the day?
Be good at said sport. Word of mouth from coaches on a corded phone was all it took
I am from a town so far in the sticks we have to pipe in sunlight. We had a kid in our class that was just different. When he hit the ball the sound alone drew attention. Word got around and his Sr year half the crowd was scouts.
Our football team was so small we had to play offense and defense...not enough guys to rotate. One of my classmates got invited to football camp and went on to play for the razorbacks.
I find it hard to believe that in this era of instant access to everything it would be difficult for a stud player to get noticed. But I could be wrong, I've been wrong before.

You could put that money in a 529 plan. Have your boy get decent enough grades to get tops or some in state scholarship. You won’t have to pay for college at all.
Plus if he’s good enough I’m on his high school team, then he will get looks anyway. But if yall are enjoying traveling 30 weeks a year then do what you’re doing.

If you're not getting asked by coaches of higher local teams for your son to play on their team for free, he's not yet on trek for D1.

IDK it’s expensive but seeing my kid happy and coaches say he has D1 potential makes it worth it.
There’s hundreds of D1 schools. There’s a big difference between SEC ball and Maryland-Eastern Shore. Is the goal to get him a D1 scholarship, or make the majors? Would you rather him get a partial scholly to play at North Alabama, or a full ride for academics to a nice, bigger university?
About 2% of HS ballplayers make D1. And with the portal, he better be on top of his shite at the D1 level, or some stud from a smaller school will essentially take his place.
He needs to be the best player on his travel ball team, and the best player on his HS team. Otherwise, he can enjoy raking the dirt and manicuring the field at some NAIA joint.
