Myspace quickly gained popularity among teenage and young adult social groups. In February 2005, DeWolfe held talks with Mark Zuckerberg over acquiring Facebook but DeWolfe rejected Zuckerberg's $75 million asking price.

Do you think this guy goes a day without thinking about Facebook's half trillion valuation?

I ignored dabigfella’s investing advice once. It was way worse.

Blockbuster not buying out Netflix strikes me as much worse. Blockbuster apparently had a problem with Netflix's policies in not ripping off their customers at every given opportunity.

Well MySpace sold a few months later for US$580 million, so I think he's okay with things.

Excite could have purchased Google for $750k in 1999 but their CEO basically laughed the founders out the room.

Well sure, but let's compare:

$580,000,000
$500,000,000,000

Had MySpace bought Facebook, there is no way to know if Facebook would have grown to what it is today.

MySpace could’ve absorbed it and continued to suck.

I think Zuckerberg has the special sauce.

Who’s to say he wouldn’t have ran Facebook into the ground?
