Is this church's sign inflammatory?

Church where I live has a sign in front that says
"If you think dogs are going to heaven then you need to read revelations 22".
This is not meant to be a religious thread. I'm just curious to what your thoughts are on the sign. Don't care if you believe it or don't, just want to know if you think the sign is purposefully inflammatory.
At the end of the day, it makes no difference to me, it just seems like they are trying to rustle jimmies and not "spread the word of god".

I think its just a dick thing to put on a sign.
Also, it was a dick move for John of Patmos to group dogs with murderers, and rapists. Dogs are freaking sweet, and man's best friend.

Just glanced over Revelations 22 and didn't see where it talked about dogs going to heaven? Am I missing something?

I guess the bible could mean dogs as "bad folks" but i think this church took it literally, much like many folks interpret the bible.

I'm a Christian, and I absolutely hate church sings, other than the ones that just tell you the name of the church and maybe a service schedule. Being clever is usually not the church secretary's strong suit.

No, like I said, trying to be clever. You go to the passage wondering "does the bible actually say dogs don't go to heaven", and now you're reading.
I hate any message from the church that just focuses on who's going to hell and who isn't. So dumb and damaging.
