They had a bbq for Memorial Day and moved the two kennels from the back porch to under an easy up in the corner of the yard. They are still chilling there.

Tomorrow I will call Animal Control and see what they think.

Listen, if you're so concerned, knock on the damn door. You can't be nosy and then be a complete puss about it. Don't be lazy and let other men check on the dogs. Lord.

I feel super bad for the animals, basically there for the entertainment of a mentally handicap human and are taken care of when he feels like it. They do make him really happy though, so its a dilemma on where I stand.

Animals don't exist for disposable backyard entertainment of people, autism or not.

Yeah baw. He threw in the sleep outside part so I didn't know if his beef was that as well. Some people think it's inhumane to make a dog sleep outside. I agree those small kennels are an issue.

Not sure, depends if there is food an water available and how well ventilated the kennels are. That’s a question for animal control. Call them.

Not sure what the dilemma is. Animals starving to death, dying of thirst or heat stroke is a problem. If you’re relative is unable to properly care for them then he shouldn’t own them. Is he capable of disposing of their rotting, bloated corpses? I mean, damn.

And I am not an animal person.

I pretty much agree with this 100%, he is not my brother so I do not feel like I can tell his mom how to take care of her autistic son even though the animals are incredibly mistreated even though he thinks he is doing a good thing and is an animal lover. Definitely a messed up situation for sure. The mom is also such a push over she probably just turns a blind eye bc it keeps him busy periodically

I'd wouldn't call that a kennel. it's a cage.

What's the inhumane part?
The fact that they may not have access to water and have to lay in their own waste.

I've been there and done that.

Report it to the authorities and have them do their job.

If you confront the neighbor, then you are putting him on notice. If someone else reports it to the proper authorities, then it can be a bite taken out of your butt in revenge fashion.

Even people who are lazy with their animals hate being judged. They are doing what they know to be right. It is how they were raised.
