You should let him spray guts and then decide (he's obviously a skilled swordsman or shooting blanks to have avoided pregnancy through at least two marriages, so don't worry about protection).

I think there are too many red flags.
- Divorced twice.
- Is possibly a pathological liar
- Against guns.
- Has credit issues
- According to one source he is telling you what you want to hear.
You say he is smart, but the above tells me he isn't.

I'm not crazy, I'm very well grounded in my opinion (I know, everyone who is crazy thinks they aren't). I'm not gun crazy, but I like shooting an AR15. I personally don't like to shoot animals (except wild hogs) but I'm not against hunting.
