Is there ever a corporate speaker that doesn’t open with this line?

“Good Morning!”
*mumbles of ‘Good Morning’*
“Oh we can do better than that! GOOD MORNING!”
Instant hatred ensues.
Hate that frickin shite.

As long as they're paying me to sleep, I don't care how the speaker opens up.

Don't work for other people. Work for yourself. Problem solved.

Anytime you see "Dynamic speaker" in the brochure you are in trouble. Dynamic means crowd interaction and group discussion.

Just once I want to hear one of these schmucks go:
“Good Morning!”
*mumbles of ‘Good Morning’*
"Ah f--k y'all too then"

The funniest part of that is that the second good morning is always the same as the first, and the speaker says “that’s more like it!”

One time I went to this free lunch as long as you listen to a motivational speaker meeting. I wolfed down the fried chicken in no time and then was left with nothing to do but listen to this boring putz. About five minutes in, he says, “I’ll give anyone a dollar to go grab me some water”.
I used that as an opening to bolt so I shot up out of there under the implication I was getting him some water and never went back. Good chicken.

Yes, plenty of them. are you attending self help, get rich quick, or some kind of ponzi scheme seminars?

We have suppliers come in for our sales meetings and do it too. It’s not just for shitty seminars.

Lou Holtz usually just spits on the front row to get it out of the way.
