Is there anywhere to see some good stand up comedy around BR?

I've actually never been to a stand up show but I've been thinking about it. Are all of these local clubs full of cheesy wannabe comedians or what?

The Station on Wednesdays used to have funny people from new Orleans and Lafayette. They were usually trying out new material though so it was kinda hit or miss, but overall pretty funny. And of course the usual open mic types, so yeah....

Haven't been in a long time though so can't vouche for it now.

RIver Center will get bigger acts like Seinfeld, Brian Regan, maybe even Jim Gaffigan?

I think David Spade was at lauberge last year.

New Orleans gets good shows, in the past few years Dave Attell and Doug Stanhope played One Eyed Jacks I think, Dave Chappelle was at the Saenger. Gaffigan did Mahalia Jackson theater.

Some of these were several years ago though
