I submit to you the answer is no.
Insanely expensive, pushy sales ladies, it all looks the same after 5 minutes, and the wife wanted to sit on every chair and sofa in the place.

Send your wife to scout in advance. Tell her to come up with a top 3 for each piece of furniture you’re looking to buy.
After she does her recon, go back with her. Immediately and politely tell the salesman that he’s not going to convince you to buy anything and that you promise to get him if you have any questions or want to purchase something.

This...I sternly tell the first salesperson that comes to me that we aren't buying today and just want to look around, and I'll get them if I need anything.

We actually like to go up to the stores around Hickory and High Point NC. I will say the furniture shopping in BR is pretty bad. So much garbage, it is like they quit buying furniture in the 80s.
