I’m a national resource
A national detriment.
Serve that on your pivot table.

i have to work in excel almost every day at least once, although not for extended periods of time - just reviewing things
i will agree that knowing keyboard shortcuts saves a lot of time escpecially if you are editing cells

Amazing! How about you set up a call to go over basic Excel functions. Make sure you stand up so the camera can see you.

Is there anything more frustrating than watching someone fumbling through Excel?
Watching a teams meeting where the host wants to go word by word through a proposal in Microsoft Word.

This new Mingo is trying way too hard, I liked the old one better

I hate pivot tables and people who create them are always douches.

You should take your own advice. No one gives a shite.

It’s 2025, excel has been around for decades, there’s just no excuse for this shite
You know what's really frustrating?
Actual system analysts/dbas watching you people use power query and odbc connections to tap data sources from the likes of SQL and Oracle databases. Y'all are frickin clueless.
I wish Microsoft would have never let you fricktards touch data. Stick to pivots and vlookups and filters.

Wow, so soul crushing… maybe you could put them in touch with someone humble enough to actually help them… like some kind of resource or something.

Being a great resource means you have the opportunity to teach others what you know, instead of:

On the plus side, I can finish the shite I need to do in 20% of the time and do whatever I want in the remaining time while they’re putzing around clicking on single cells.

A few lines into SAS gets output in a few seconds that would take you hours to do in Excel. When people brag about their exploits with Excel they're just telling the world they don't actually know anything about numbers.

Is Excel like Lotus 1-2-3?
