Many swifties are grown women, which makes it so much more pathetic.

there are people with grandchildren that are still seeing phish several times a year

there is a void in touring acts. Taylor swift puts on a good show, by all accounts, it shouldn't be surprising she sells out everywhere.

$600 for the biggest touring act don't seem that crazy when I paid $100 to see Ween last year. No regrets ween was awesome

Excellent take, and spot on. We seel older bands a lot.

Good Eagles tickets are usually 1200-1500, other acts are much less but still 3-400.

People complaining about the price of a ticket don't get out much and are likely the same people complaining that $16 is too much for a double in Tiger Stadium.

I feel about like Phish and the Dead as I do regarding Swift.

In fact, a Swift concert would probably be 100x more exciting.

As far as looks are concerned, she’s quite meh. She has bad cases of both butter face and noassatall.

For those reasons she does not intimidate her fan base who are big losers who vicariously live through every verse, every movement and every failed relationship that they themselves are ever capable of having.

young people are gonna obsess over catchy songs written by mildly talented mildly attractive artists.

The difference though is that, like them or not, the Beatles actually had some soul in their music and transformed an entire genre. Think about how many bands from the 60s onward have emulated things that the Beatles started. Tay Tay makes the most bland, background grocery store music of all time and people act like it’s cutting edge.

I saw her in Tiger Stadium years ago and it was awesome. I got hammered and the line to the men's restroom was non-existent. It was glorious

I have friends who pay big bucks to watch old washed out 70s and 80s groups, with maybe one or two original members.

I dont understand that either, but its their money and their time.

Hmm…. Girl writes songs about how she’s always getting screwed over by guys.

Let’s be honest. These women want to put blame on someone rather than take responsibility for their poor choices.

They now have a “voice” in Taylor.

Same can be said for:

Michael Jackson
Madonna
Elvis

And others

It’s not a new thing every generation has at least one super star that captivates millions

Phish plays 3 nights in a row just about all year long and they never stop playing.

It’s like one 3-4 hour song every night

It’s really quite impressive.

I have a friend that’s been to over 100 shows over the past 30 years
