You would almost think the person that they are not interested in, that they are looking for is one of those white construction manager professional types that are known to party around the greyhound bus station in the wee hours of the morning.
Someone mentioned that earlier in the thread.
Almost spot on.

BATON ROUGE - Police said they're looking for someone who may have information related to the investigation into Nathan Millard's death.
The Baton Rouge Police Department identified that man as 45-year-old Derrick Perkins, who's wanted on charges including criminal damage to property, three counts of access device fraud and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, as well as for violating his probation.
Police said Perkins is "needed for questioning" in the Nathan Millard investigation but would not call him a suspect relative to that case. Perkins was last seen in the South Baton Rouge area driving a 2003 Toyota Camry.
Millard, a contractor from Georgia, disappeared in Baton Rouge while he was in town for a business trip. He left a bar in downtown around 11:30 p.m. Feb. 22 and was seen on numerous surveillance cameras roaming around Baton Rouge over the next several hours. One of those videos obtained by WBRZ showed Millard walking with an unidentified person along Florida Boulevard hours before he was last seen alive, around 4:30 a.m. Feb. 23.
Millard's body was discovered Monday in a vacant lot off Scenic Highway. He was wrapped in a rug and appeared to have been dead for several days.
Police have said there's no indication of foul play in Millard's death, though investigators are looking for whoever moved Millard's body after he died.
Open warrants on the man BRPD is seeking out for questioning

FFS. Either this is bad reporting or we have literal retards as police.
Both?

The statement is in reference to the type of death. He was not stabbed, shot, etc. They are not saying that the disposal of the body is not a crime itself.

That guy's definitely not coming forward now unless a lawyer can get him some sort of deal

BRPD, is a joke.
They really do not know how to put pressure on suspects.
Old days officers would have shook down the drug house, hookers, drug runners, and the mid level dealer. We would have made it hard for them to operate and make money.
Just like the Mexican mafias and cockroaches they do not like the light shining on them.
Cut off their ability to make money, you will find a suspect quickly.
Problem is BRPD promotes people from uniform patrol after 2 years. That is not enough time to learn your district, and how to play the game legally.

A body wrapped in a rug and dumped off Plank road is per se some "evidence of foul play." Maybe there is no foul play. But that's evidence of foul play.

I was recently watching a really old episode of the first 48 in Miami. The homicide detectives weren’t getting any leads so they went to known players in the area and said they are going to sit cruisers on their corners 24/7 until they get some information. A few days later some “anonymous” tips were phoned in and it was solved.

He’s not a person of interest. He’s just a person we are interested in talking too.

I am obsessed with this case and so glad I found this chat! I know of the families - he had NO relationship with his boys which is why they were adopted by their stepfather. His “wife” is actually not his wife and Georgia doesn’t honor common law marriage. I’ve heard the eldest son is now considered the next of kin and has been given control over his body. And someone here said conyers is a shite hole and I can confirm. Nothing good comes out of that town. Everybody is a drunk and druggie. And yes, so was his “wife” with a hot head and hotter mouth when wasted. He went to find the party I’m sure and ended up with more than he could handle. Still so many questions though - why hasn’t the “client” Josh come out and spoken yet? There is more to him in my opinion. I don’t think he was partying with him but I think he definitely knows something more.

The news can only report what the morons at BRPD give them. Which, as of late, has been confusing, contradictory, and in some cases wrong.
