His debit card shows activity since the time of his disappearance: Amber said the first transaction was a cash withdrawal and that the card was in use as late as Saturday before she could get it frozen.

This seems suspect right here. If he got cash and used it again after, then there should be camera footage of a guy in a green hat with black shirt taking out the cash or purchasing something. If it's anyone other than that, then this guy is dead in the river somewhere.

The news article said it was a guy of a different race using his card

My first thought too. Call the bank where the card was used and look at the cameras. That should be a no brainer right?

I have to assume these steps are already being taken by BRPD without us knowing. I mean, BRPD can’t be that useless, right? I’m sure the detectives are overworked.

My guess is that BRPD will claim that the missing individual changed his race and build then withdrew money from his own card to disappear.

The only thing shocking about this story to me is that a body hasn’t turned up. His phone showing up on the route back to the hotel and his card getting used means he clearly got robbed. Question is what happened after that.

I wonder what the reason is for not letting the video/pic out of the man using the card is. Also, should be able to tell where the ticket greyhound bought destination was.

Broome and Paul will ultimately blame the victim for not taking an "alternate route." Which with shootings just in the last few days on both the interstate and government, as well as this on 3rd street on a walk of just one block, the safe alternate routes are rapidly declining in BR.

But they are.

I'd put the video on every social media outlet and blast it on FB.

Pretty hard to avoid the hood types these days. North of Florida Blvd is no longer applicable

An actual BRPD detective reading this thread in a room full of detectives: "Guys - this is a pretty good idea. Let's try this."

Rest of the room: "Meh, we're on break."

I'm sure the suspect will be clear as day with his mask and hoodie on.

It’s not that odd. Hell, don’t you remember when people were getting shot just for their tennis shoes? And maybe he resisted and fought back.

If he resisted and fought back, and got shot then you would have heard about it. That doesn't happen in the middle of 3rd street and nobody hear or see anything, no blood on the ground, nothing... He either voluntarily left 3rd street, or he was somehow coerced to leave. Maybe he was threatened, idk.

There is more to the story than a random act of violence. Feels like there has to be. If he was the one that initially withdrew cash then it points to him getting into some stuff that he shouldn't have. Still didn't deserve to die, assuming he is dead.

If I have the hotel correct (Marriott DT BR) then it's only 0.7 miles away to the Greyhound station. The one on N 13th. Perp probably knew there was an ATM in there but doesn't mean he hopped on a bus. it's plausible though.

Just spitballing but, if I am remembering the area correctly, the first ATM was likely in the vicinity of either Florida and Third or Main and Third, as that is close to the hotel and the bar.
