And if Happy's doesn't serve any food, how did they get something to eat at Happy's?
I've brought food into bars without kitchens on rare occasions, but the wording doesn't seem like this is the case.

Happys is gonna say they didn't feed him cuz he was already full. 2 hours and no drinks, riiight.

For the atm withdrawal it makes sense that the perp couldn’t not have done it with out the pin, but I use my debit card for purchases all the time as credit and don’t out the pin in.
My guess the actual perp forced him to give him the pin, used it to get cash and then dumped the card and someone else used it for small purchases, that’s why he was let go from custody

If you’re doing coke 2 hours is only 15 minutes.

Sources tell UWK that a man using Millard’s ATM card was detained by Baton Rouge Police Tuesday, questioned and later released.
THis is insane ...
If that is true there absolutely has to be more to this story. If he's on camera using the dudes ATM card he's committed a crime. Seems to me they could have detained him if the wanted to (caveat: I'm not a lawyer or a cop) so what did the homeless homie tell them to be released?BRPD is wildly incompetent so who knows, but i can't imagine they just let a person that could be really hard to find again go if they thought he was seriously involved.
It does seem unlikely that a homeless person did this b/c where's the body.
There's a million possibilities and none of this makes sense, but right now i'd guess this night ended in a traphouse where things went bad. It's hard to know without knowing his drug use history (or lack there of) or if there is any history of mental health issues (these rarely pop up for the first time at 42).

I have zero dog in this fight, just reading. But my seedy memory seems to recall Happy’s perhaps having some sort of snack food, like a very limited drunk food selection. Again, could be wrong because these memories were alcohol induced but I feel like we ordered French fries or nachos at Happy’s towards the later hours of it being open. This would have been 8-10 years ago. I could be wrong but perhaps someone else who hangs out there can verify.

The man was not using the victims debit card per UWK.
We got some clarity on the ATM usage. Article has been updated.
From article:
Harvey says that there was a withdrawal made at an ATM after Millard left Happy’s. The ATM is reportedly close to where Millard’s phone was found days later.
Another ATM transaction was made near the Greyhound bus station in downtown Baton Rouge, according to Harvey. There were also “multiple smaller charges” at a Chevron in the “one-by-four block radius” between 1 and 2 a.m., Harvey said.
UWK previously reported that a man seen using Millard’s card at a ATM was questioned by Baton Rouge Police Tuesday and later released. Sources have clarified that the man was not using Millard’s card and was simply withdrawing cash. He is not connected with the case.

2) There is no Chevron remotely close to the Greyhound station. I can assume they mean the Exxon, but that seems like an easy thing to clarify.
Isn't there a Chevron over by the River Center and Frost Top? Thats the closest one I can picture.

This has been atrocious reporting. Why not say it was Millard using his own ATM card from the jump? The involvement with the other person they questioned read as if he stole and used the card. Again, awful reporting.
I’d like to think they’re withholding a lot of detail to protect the family from embarrassment, perhaps he was soliciting sex from a female or even a male. I’m not trying to tarnish this man in any way; but it would feel better to know BRPD and the local media aren’t this terrible and are misreporting so much deliberately. But….probably not.

If Millard is making these withdrawals, that changes things significantly.

Directly Across the street from the greyhound station is the Mid City Mart, which is an Exxon. It formerly was a chevron. Don’t know when it switched. Someone probably referred to it as a chevron because that’s what it was for the longest time.

Between the Greyhound bus station, the Exxon across the street from it, MJ's Food mart and the St. Vincent de Paul there are lot of sketchy folks roaming that section of Florida St.
Millard would really have no business in that area.
The Federal courthouse building should have a ton of cameras on it and the parking area has a security detail. I don't know if it is 24 hours. Security routinely walks the perimeter of that parking lot. Still this is 5 blocks away from 3rd St.
Something funky has happened.

No doubt. Hope Texas Equusearch is successful (and hope they have up to date info unlike what the news outlets are putting out there)

Yep and that's probably a 15-20 minute walk from Happy's. There's no wholesome reason for him to end up over in that area.

This is good in the sense that now it makes a lot more sense, but that's a pretty big screw up/clarification.
This would mean the - he just went to the ATM and got jacked - theory is back to being more likely. I would love to know if this story that got confused is wrapped into the - someone, that's not him, is on camera getting money with his ATM card - or if that's still solid.

He either got robbed and killed or he fell/committed suicide in the river.

I can't stop thinking about this. It makes no sense unless the police have given them more information.
