Even before BR turned into a worse shite hole, they def had locals on third and it could get choppy quick.
I do think some of this is fishy but being able to use his cards likely means some foul play

It happened on Gayosa St off of Scenic Hwy in 2007 when a White guy was found burned beyond recognition and had been shot multiple times.
Wasn’t there a more recent case of a guy in town to work at one of the plants. He was found dead in a trap house somewhere around that area. I would guess it was around 2017 or so but I’m really not sure.

You're not getting forcefully abducted or murdered by someone on Third St. and Convention. I used to live in that area and there are police everywhere over there
I’m still in this boat. Feel like there’s a lot being left outt. I’ll be shocked if it turns out he got taken while walking straight from happys 500ft to the hotel

There is a cop station right there but knowing Murphy Paul and the shortage of cops, I don’t think it can be ruled out that quick.
Also get off the main roads and it’s easy pickings.
I could also see him trying to get some drugs getting lured robbed and dumped

My guess he walked away from 3rd that night. Maybe walked down to the atm himself. He might have spent all his cash at the bar and needed it to tip the valet the next morning? The atms at the city plaza building are absolutely secluded enough for a mugging.

This is what is very frustrating about the lack of information coming out. There appears to be a lot of people on this site willing to help, spread the word, look for a body, etc….but there is nothing to go on except that map I put on a few pages back. Obviously his phone was dumped at 7th and Convention….seems like a camera in that area should be able to pick up a single person/multiple people walking or a car driving by around 12am that night. Guessing there would not be a lot of action right there at 11:45-1am on a Wed night/Thurs morning
Seems like it should be very easy to work backwards on a timeline and path, from when Nathan left Happy’s and when/where the ATM was used by a black person

I truly believe this is a case of being at the wrong place at the wrong time. I think this is a typical robbery gone wrong. I do not believe drugs or anything conspicuous reason for his disappearance.

Do not underestimate the mayor and chief of police’s desire for this to just go away. She’d love nothing more than it to go unsolved like other recent cases. The family needs to step foot in front of a camera asap and keep pushing for them to do their job.

Thats why I thought maybe Matt Still, his friend since middle school, could come in here and add color and maybe listen to the advice.

But they say a black dude was the one using his ATM card

Everything in my opinion points to a mugging gone wrong. His I.d. Is missing because he probably slipped it into his front pocket after getting into the bar. Most likely got targeted when he was walking up to the atm.

My guess is that the guy that used his card at the ATM looks very much like this..........unfortunately

Which time….I hear conflicting reports. If the first interaction with the ATM was Nathan, that’s different. We still don’t know which location or which time, the video was a black man using the card

Maybe he got stuffed inside of a car at gunpoint while walking up to the atm? Then they took the atm card and used it at a couple locations

There is literally an ATM across the street from Happys at that First Horizon.
I just don't buy the mugging or robbery gone wrong theory. I've walked that part of downtown 100 times over the last few years. I would never consider it unsafe. People, lights, cameras, police everywhere. It's literally the last place I'd probably try and mug someone if I were a criminal.
Maybe further east of downtown, basically by the interstate.

Get him in here. We'll take whatever info he wants to give and help.

He might bank with regions and wanted to avoid fees? I work in the area at night and they absolutely have sketchy individuals all over the north blvd square. If the perp was that hard up for cash(drugs) time and place really doesn’t matter.

And you think they are capable of hiding a body for 8 days and leaving no evidence?

Might have been posted already, but I wonder if the card was used to buy a bus ticket at the bus station?
