I was recently in contact with a person who just tested positive. As of now, they have a slight fever but it's been a few days and that's about the duration so far.

I've had a dry cough the last day or so and tonight I'm feeling kinda like I'm coming down with a cold.

So I guess, long story short, am I going to die?

Yes. At some point in the next 80 years. Congratulations on being just another statistic.

I've heard it's really a giant killer.

Good luck.

You likely need prolonged exposure in a tight indoor space to be exposed and infected. Even then many family members don’t catch it from each other. I wouldn’t worry but be cautious and don’t go breathe on any old folks or fatties.

My sister had it and breathed in my face for 2 days. Feel great. As long as you aren’t 5’6 350, you will be fine

Also ETA: refuse to get tested

I got tested in mid July after my doctor let slip that he had an asymptomatic positive patient in that room earlier in the day. At the drive thru they handed me the big q-tip, had me move it around my nose, and put it into the specimen tube/bag. The test itself took a minute after being there for a half hour...with only 1 person ahead of me. (Still better than the lineup at the local public health testing location that used the nasty invasive one.)

And it came back negative. However after mentioning the situation to the PTB they agreed to telehealth appointments and apparently the DEA lifted their paper prescription for opioids rule because they're doing those electronically too. My wife was contact traced from a close encounter but thankfully tested negative.

I can't wait for this vaccine to come out so most of this ish is over.
