Is there a way to escape AI content on YouTube?

I used to be able to look at the author’s name and if it wasn’t actually a real persons name I would notice, skip it. Now AI has adapted names that sounds like it’s a human content creator, but as soon as you turn it on, you recognize it’s AI slop.
Is there a way to reject AI slop whenever you search for content on YouTube.

I don't across much at all.
But my feed is very "tight" for lake of a better word.
Edt: certain genres have more than others. Example my kids YouTube. It is loaded with AI stuff.

Fastest things that actually move the needle
On any slop video or Short (home feed, sidebar, or Shorts):
1. Tap the three dots.
2. Choose Don’t recommend channel for whole farms. This is stronger than “Not interested.”
3. Use Not interested on one-off videos.
4. If you watched even 10–20 seconds, open History and remove that video so it doesn’t count as a positive signal.
Do this consistently for a week. Studies and user reports both show “Don’t recommend channel” plus history cleanup beats dislike or ignore.
Cut off the data YouTube is using
• Pause or delete watch history: YouTube app ? profile ? Settings ? Manage all history / History & privacy ? Pause watch history (or delete last 7/30 days or all time). Same place on desktop via myactivity.google.com ? YouTube History.
• Pause search history the same way. Random searches for “weird facts” or “did you know” are how a lot of slop gets seeded.
• On iPhone: Settings ? Time management ? Shorts feed limit ? 0 minutes. This kills the Shorts rail that is slop-heavy.
Pausing history stops new watches from training the model. Deleting history resets the old training data. You can pause before you watch something you don’t want attached to the account, then turn it back on.

This is something that YouTube recognizes and is going after pretty hard, but at this time, it is what it is.
