That's right, shoes. I went out twice this week looking for court shoes, actual TENNIS shoes. Something, I could go side to side with-play tennis, table tennis, volleyball, etc.

I went to Dick's, 2 Academy's, DSW and multiple shoe stations and shoe carnivals. All anyone has is "running" shoes. Shoes only designed to go in a straight line.

Hell, at Dick's, when I asked for an actual pair of tennis shoes, the guy looked at me like I was from another planet!

What happened to sport specific shoes? Seems like running is the only sport now.

Can someone point me to a place that has sport specific shoes? I hate to order online, get them, and not like the fit.....

The good news for you is knee pads can still serve multiple purposes

Go to a tennis pro shop if all else fails and you are reluctant to buy shoes online.

Why don't you just strap maxi pads to your feet?

As an adult, i have found that pretty much most all shoes fit me relatively close to the same so i have ordered mine online for years now and never go to a store to buy them anymore

Low top basketball shoes are definitely available at Dick's and Academy...they will work for what you described...if you want outdoor shoes for an actual tennis court you will need to go to one of clubs with a pro shop....also you could try Red Stick Sports they would have some options

Go to your local racquet club. More people run than play tennis.

You’re a puss if think that makes that much of a difference. And a real athlete can perform in anything from combat boots to 8” heels.

Dennis Rodman was more an exception than the rule.

What's with all the colors? White is around, but there aren't as many choices.

Must the the Academy in Alex.

Makes sense because parachute pants and mullets are all the rage in Cenla.
