Is there a noise ordinance in Baton Rouge for construction?

There is a house being built next door to us and they start hammering around at 6:15 every morning, including the weekends. It wakes our children up every morning. They also stay late after our infant goes to sleep and are hammering until after 8:00 pm.
Is there a noise ordinance in place that doesn't allow construction before or after a certain time in Baton Rouge?

yes but I believe the hours are before 6am and after 10pm. Not certain about those exact hours but it's close.

Children should be wide awake by then...

Man up, it's temporary.

Yes, construction noise is prohibited in or adjacent to residential areas before 7 AM or after sunset.

Are they framing in?
If so, they will be finished with that part in a week tops then the noise won't be so bad. I would just deal with it and let them get that part finished vs complaining and making them drag it out.
You also don't piss off your soon to be new neighbors right out of the gate.

Piss off the builder? Who cares? They can wait one hour.

I was checking on one of my jobsites last week and a lady from the house next door asked me to wait until after 9am to get started

If you complained to me, your future neighbor, about temporary construction noise I would rent light plants and build all night just to frick with you more. Call the parish, I don't give a frick.

It's no earlier than 7 am in residential areas, and I believe no later than 7 pm, but that may be 8. It's been a long time since I've dealt with hour restrictions.
If it were infrastructure work, I'd have told to shut up and be appreciative you're getting things repaired. But residential work, tell them to shut the hell up. Call the parish/county building department to complain. Make sure you go to the permit box and get the info, so they know which house is violating the noise ordinance.
If they don't handle it, call your councilman.

This is why you want to be the last one to build

It's temporary dude. Deal with it

I have already met my future neighbors and they seem great, but the builder is sloppy. I'm fine picking up a little trash here and there, but when someone drove through my yard and destroyed it I had enough.
